News
Merger of Pickering and Helmsley Deaneries
The merger of our two Deaneries has now been approved by the Diocesan Pastoral Committee. The next stage is for a period of consultation, during which any objections can be made. After this Archbishop Sentamu will make the final decision.
As the Rural Dean points out in June's Magazine, the proposal relates only to the merger of the Deaneries and not to re-organisation of Benefice boundaries or deployment of the clergy.
Next Deanery Synod
- Thursday 1st October 2009, at Salton Village Hall.
